I need a new amp and cant decide on a hifonics amp or mabe something else i was looking at a ppi. I have two infinty refrance 12s 300rms@ 4ohms svc
For hifonics the warrior merlin would work:154 bucks
RMS Power: 200W x 1 @ 4 Ohms
Bridged RMS Power: 300W x 1 @ 2 ohms
or the zues zx4400 2x220 @4 ohms a 4 ch amp
or the nx440 nemisis a 4 ch amp
both of these can be had for around 180-250
or the ppi PPI PCX-480\RB 4ch 640watts 200 bucks
80 x 4 Watts @ 4 Ohms Stereo 160 x 4 Watts @ 2 Ohms Stereo 320 x 2 Watts @ 4 Ohms Mono After looking at these amps i am a little lost ??? what is the better amp?
Also i need new speakers for the front speakers. i would drive them off of my head unit. what i had in mind was the infinity componets 120 bucks
frequency response 67-21,000 Hz
power range 2-75 watts RMS
Or the pg componets 69bucks
| Phoenix Gold R5.0COMP | 5.25 inch (130mm) 2-way comp system 70 watts rms fr=60-24000 Hz or......... Phoenix Gold TX5.0COMP 100bucks | 5 Inch 2-Way Component System 75watts rms fr=75-20000 Hz and....... Does pg make decent componet sets or should i go with mabe a lower end of mb quart i was looking to spend no more than 120 on speakers for the front doorpanels. |

I know it's not uncommon to run the front speakers off the head unit, but in my opinion that is for the person who wants the loud THUMP and isn't interested in achieving a well-rounded quality sound. Consider using amps to power all your components.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
I have jensen amp(2ch) sitting i can use it is just it is a jensen should be fine though to run a componet set at 4ohm though but i cant decide on a amp i have read though the forums and ppl say ppi and hifonics are both good amps
