I can hear some crackling noise coming out of the speakers when I listen to the radio on my deck. It isn't really loud but I can tell its there and get's worse when u turn it up. When I shut the car off it goes away. It doesn't do this when playing cd either. I changed decks and it still does it. please help.

did you cut and splice the sterero in, or did you use an adapter? Are you running your speakers off the deck or an external amp (via preouts.)

If the noise is only there with teh radio and not with the CD, it is probably a bad antenna ground, or you may need to use an adapter between the factory antenna and the deck.  If the car has a standard antenna plug that fit right into yout new head unit. try connecting a ground lead from the case of the new head to a solid chassis ground.

oh yeah- I missed the part about not doing it with the cd.  I had the same problem in my old Park Ave.  I just ran a ground wire from the screw on the back where the rear support is hooked up (or is supposed  to be hooked up!) to a good chassis ground. Took care of it real nice.
