I just bought some display items sold as clearance sale from a store. I basically bought a CD player : Kenwood KDC-v7022 and a CD changer (Kenwood KDCC517FM) He also included a few accesories which I don't understand what they are....

1. There is a small box (Kenwood) with a knob and says +6, +9 and +12 dB. I have seen such thing in a friend's car and I think its called bass control (?) But this thing has a wire like a telephone wire. Where does it go? Do some amps have telephone like jack for bass controll or something?

2. This thing is a long wire with a stereo pin (like headphone pin) on one end and a small black box with Power written on it on the other end? What is this?

3. Also the salesman said that the KDC-V7022 plays MP3s. Does it play MP3s? I am looking at the websites and no where I find specified that it plays MP3s. Well I will know soon after I install it but just in case someone has this model and can tell . Also it ll be great if I can get some reviews on this model.

Thanks!

1.  Sounds like a bass boost control for an amplifier.

2.  No idea.

3.  Yes, it plays MP3's.

#2 sounds like it could be an IR remote sensor for a dvd player or something

-------------
if its jammed force it - if it breaks in the process it needed to be fixed anyway
