i want to know how to hook up this amp with a second sub amp in the line out of the 648s amp. i do not understand in the manual it shows you a picture of four speakers and a sub using a different amp hooked in the line out

That amplifier includes a set of line level (RCA) outputs.  These will pass through the signal connected to channels 3 and 4 of the 648 to a second amplifier.  Simply connect a stereo RCA patch cable from the output of the 648 to the input of your sub amp.

can i use any amp for the subs

Any amp you want, except Sony, friends don't let friends buy Sony. The Kenmore amp does not care what is hooked to the pass through rca outputs.
