Hi all. How can I achieve a 2ohm load the alpine type R's that are dual 4 ohm? Also can u people help me design the box for two typer r 12's???? I want it sealed, with a plexi window on top to see the motor. They will be to boxes actually. One for each sub. If i can run the with the 2 ohm load they will be powered by a jbl 600.1 amp. Will the amp be enough???? Spec says that it pushes 600 watts @ 12 volts so it will be like 750 with the engine running right??? Also i have read that these amps are very underated. Apreciate any ideas.

using a one channel amp and 2 dual 4 ohm subs you cant achieve this combo you can only get a 4 ohm load at the amp or a 1 ohm load at the amp safely and the jbl will run at that but its not recommended

Well If Ya Can Somehow Get The Dual 2ohm ones you can wire them in series then run them parrlel to the amp and that will give ya a 2 ohm load

I had the same problem. Finally I used only 1 sub and wired the coils in parallel to achieve a resulting 2 ohms that my ALpine MRD-500 wanted.
