I am about to build a box for 2 thunder 8000 any ideas on what kind of box i should make and also how much airspace they would need there 10" svc subs i am looking for more spl then sq.

Find the specs for your wooferes HERE and build your SPL enclosure according to manufacturer's recomendations. Cheers. ------------- Support the12volt.com

now that i have the specs i was wondering what would be best for these subs a ported or sealed box?

wait a tick, if he'e the true pimp, what does that make me?? Anyhow, yea if you are going for SPL use the ported specs, as stevdart stated. Just make sure you have enough room in your trunk for it. Also, be very careful when making the box. the slightest miscalculation could make or break your system. If you're new to making boxes, stick to the sealed box, make it a little larger than the specs say, for the lower bass. Sealed boxes are much more forgiving.
