I just built a custom box for my 94 accord i placed the subs with the baskets facing out they are #2 12" ma audio dual 4ohm voice coil subs how do i wire them? I have a 4 ohm load at the end now but am i supposed to put the positive from the amp to the negative of the sub since they are reversed with the baskets facing out?

Will i lose some life out of my subs having them inverted? Or do i have a better chance just running them normally.

there should be no loss in the sub's "life" from installing the inverted.

Unless, of course, they get hit or punctured by some stray item flying around in the car or the magnets attract metal screws or dust into the motor assemblies and ruin the voice coils.  The only real problem with inverted mounting is the fragile part of the speaker motor assembly sticks out in the air instead of being protected inside the enclosure.
