the thing that has me lost why is it blowing the bigger fuse and not the ones in the back of the amp

the reason that happens is because b4 anything blows on the amp the first fuse will go like a surge protector with no power goin to the amp how do u expect to blow a fuse in the amp.. its a security method to spare the amp plus use the seat belt for a ground i blew 3 main fuses that way myself....

What guage wire are you using for the power and ground? And no the seat belt bolt or similar is not the ideal ground point.

sounds like you've a got a problem with the amp.... keep in mind that when dealing with a dead short a rectifier or fuse will always blow closest to the source of voltage, in this case the battery in the vehicle, than further down the line

does the fuse go when you apply primary power to the amp, or only when you try to remote the amp on?

Indeed, NEVER use a seat belt bolt for a ground!  Common mistake.  My guess is you have too low an impedence load on your amp.  What's it driving and how many ohms is the load?

you've got blown outputs my man....if the problem was in the power supply it would shag the fuse as soon as power was connected, if its only blowing when you remote the amp on you've got something blown in the output rail....take it in for service....
