I have Nissan Altima 97. My front audio speakers stopped working all of a sudden.  I tried to balance it using fade and tuning nobs but no difference. However while I was driving yesterday on expressway my right front speaker worked for a while and then stopped. What could be the problem and how to resolve it?

Sounds like your wires are loose to me...either at the speaker or behind the radio.  Do have the original stock radio in there, or an aftermarket one?  If aftermarket, then maybe some of the connections came loose, or the connections are exposed and causing the speaker to stop and start.  OR, you could try to access the speaker (I'm not sure how easy that is in your car) and see if the plug of wires going to the speakers is messed up at all.

Good luck.

Use a DMM and test the signal on the outputs.  Also check for continenunity (a complete circuit).  This will save you from having to tear into the doors first, and help isolate the problem
