Eclipse sub box

Ok , just want to double check somethings before I build the box.  I don't have the sub yet, SW8102.4.  1.25 total internal volume (not counting the sub, just empy volume) external dimensions are 15.5" x 15.5" x 12.5" using 3/4" MDF.  I will add a second layer to the front tom mount the sub because I hear they can rip out. 

So whay I need to know is.....

1) how deep this sub is, I can't find any specs, the inside of the box is 11"deep, just want to be sure it will fit.

2) if I am not mistaken the speaker whole is 9 1/4" in diameter, is this correct?

3)Any other useful comments

I basically chose these dimensions because it will be easy to secure it in my trunk.  I will get the sub on Monday but would like to have the box ready for it.

1.  that is plenty dep enough, this sub is probably 4-6" deep

who told you a sub can rip out???  i've never heard of that, even in extreme SPL competition.  i've heard of subs cones being destroyed but never a basket actually rip out of a box.   

Yup I sure do and I think I know who told him the sub can rip out, some guy name Rob who has played with these subs for the last 5 years and have seen many of them rip out of 3/4" mdf. This is why I suggest a double baffle board, screws coupled with heavy weight of sub, coupled with very large amount of compression, coupled with gravity, coupled with the motion of the vehicle = easy to tip out of box. Double baffle bloard = more contact area for a good size screw to anchor those nasty beasts in place.

Depth = 2.25"

Width = 10.5" approx give or take a c hair.

Cutout Diameter = 9 5/16" approx same as above

Ummm, must have being looking at the numerous hot, repeat hot Canadian chicks that walk right by the store on the way to the tanning place (I'm in the wrong business guys).

Correct mounting depth is 5.25" unless run over by a Kenworth. Thanks for catching that Ketel22.
