I have purchased an XFM radio device, and now am looking for any photo or information to access the antenna wire in the back of the radio. I am installing the modulator kit. Actually the vehicle is an Isuzu Acsender, but the Chev Trailblazer has same configuration in the dash. Can anyone out there help me with soem access tips to easily access the antenna wire, in the rear of the radio, so I can install th eantenna wire splitter? Thanks!! It's my wife's birthday gift, and she is excited to use her new XFM. ------------- PSH

Oops- Forgot to mention the year of the vehicle - It is a 2003 Isuzu Acsender (same as Chevrolet Trailblazer).

I know I must pull the radio, but I was lookig for any information that would help access the radio, such as screws to remove etc. It has a phone, OnStar etc. and I am trying to be cautious. I went toa dealer and they were no help either, no diagrams, no access hints, nothing. Thank you! ------------- PSH

i usually just tell DIY customers to go slow, dont apply any excess pressure on the plastic panels and use your eyes to look for any obvious screws....many times panels overlap, so you may have to remove panel A to get to the screws holding on panel B, etc. you may also have to unscrew and slide back the center console to allow the dash bezel to come off without me actually being there and walking you thru it ( and my being unable to picture that SPECIFIC dash setup right now in my Corona clouded memory bank ) all i can say is go slow and it will all be ok.... ------------- Kevin Gerry

just did an Envoy today. Pull the glove box all the way open, and reach behind the radio and grab the antenna plug. Pretty easy. The Trailblazer and Ascender should be the same.

yep... 5:30's Miller time here....it's a shop policy.....the only benefit of a province with no semi-annual time change... but hey look at it this way...when i'm opening up the shop here in the morning, you're still in bed snoozing........
