im planning too amp my 6 1/2 coaxials do i hook the amp up too the mid output or the high output of my xover? and is there any affect by running components w/ xover to a 3 way crossover?

I'd run the high output. You really can't put much below about 200 hz or so to such a small cone without blowing it in relatively short order. Its trying to move more than the vc and surround will let it.

What you are trying won't work.  If you hook it up to the mid output, then you won't get any highs.  If you hook it up to the tweeter output, then you won't get any lows.  And I'm not talking about the point being at 200 Hz, I'm talking about around 3 kHz.

Also, you don't want to use crossovers that weren't designed for the speakers.  The most important part of a speaker set is the crossover.  It is what gives it it's "voice".
