I have 3 Alpine Type S 12" two are 4ohm dvc and one is 2 ohm dvc. MY amp is a PPI 2150 600x1wrms@4 ohms briged and 300x2wrms @ 2 ohms ....
I currently have the two 4ohm dvc in one channel and the 2 ohm dvc in the other.
Should i just buy another amp for the 2ohm dvc and bridge the two 4 ohm dvc together on my PPI ??????
If so what size amp should I go with cuz I may be able to pick up a PPI 2100 450rms

Why buy another amp? You have already seen it is difficult to work with different impedence subs. I would sell the odd sub. Replace it, if you need a third sub, with one like the other two. You could get an impedence like this:

what is your reasoning for having the different impedence subs? and why do you want to mix then like so?

What I would do would be buy 2- 1 ohm stable mono amps and put both of them on a 1 ohm load, if you could find one that is twice the power of the other one, that would make your power to each woofer be the same, which would be the best thing to do, imo

Dude, just toss the oddball. Plain and simple. use the 2 other ones. Wire then in series parallel to get a 4 ohm load. Should sound good.

the only reason why i have one diff is because thats how the guy wanted to sell them to me he said ohh this is perfect......then i found out after...

OK I am taking the dual 2 ohm back for a dual 4 ohm do you think my amp will run these three subs bridged at 2.67 ohms......it says 4 ohm bridged.

If it is the Rockford amp that will be powering it, yes it will run these subs in the way that was posted above. However it IS NOT RECOMMENDED as even though the amp will run it, it was not designed for it. Now I have run amps like this in this fashion before and have had no problems. Make sure the gain control is kept as low as possible.

My two dvc 4ohm alpine subs are wired at 1ohm. But the amp produce some distorsion at this load. I went to rockford.com and found that 2 dvc 2ohm subs can be wired at a 2 ohm load. But i read that this is a stereo load. Can i still run those subs on a mono amp at 2ohm. If i can i will sell my subs and get the dvd 2ohm version.
