i got my cd player (pioneer deh-p2500)today i connected all the wires except one it's yellow with a black stripe it is not the 12v wire because i've connected it already i didn't connect the yellow wire with the black stripe cause i dont know where it goes. is this wire important the manual dosen't say anying about the wire could someone please help me the cd player wont power on or anything

the car i'm installing it in is a 1993 toyota corolla.

I CANT REMEMBER WHAT THE WIRE IS FOR BUT SHOULDNT NEED HOOKED UP TO WORK...CHECK YOUR FUSES...SE IF YOU GETTING POWER...SWITCH...GROUND...

A yellow with a black stripe on a pioneer deak is a mute trigger. If you had a cell phone. You would tag to that. Its not used much anymore. Just cap it off and you will be fine. As far as it not playing did you make use of the factory harness or did you chop it off? If you cut it off and you did all the wires at once you poped your +12 wire check your fuse and you should find it. Do you have a multi meter or a test light? When you first plug in the deck do you hear it spin up for a sec? If yes you may not be getting your s/w (i.e. the red wire is dead).
