I just installed a sony xpolde power amp 600 watts and sony 10" subs everythings hooked up like I hook up all other stereos but this one kicks out when I turn it up. think its a bad amp or anything else any help would be greatly apprecated.
If by "kicks out" you mean the amplifier shuts down, then either the amp gain is too high, the subs are hooked up with too low an impedence, or you have a power issue.
To start with, how many subs and what's the make/model number of your equipment? How did you set the input gain on the amp?

Support the12volt.comI have 2 sony xplode subs. Well not really kicks out I just dont get any power from it when I turn it up I hear a little bit of bass but it comes and goes when its turned down I can hear the bass. what do you think it might be.
The amp gain is incorrectly set. It is set too high. Reset it to the head unit output. And did you check impedence as DYohn asked? What is the impedence and wiring of the subs? Post that info. Resetting gain will do nothing if the impedence load on the amp is too low.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
Make sure you have your speakers wired in phase. (Positive and negative) If the speakers are wired oout of phase they will cancel each other out. Make sure that the power and ground wires are the same size and the correct gauge for the amp's current requirement. Make sure the amp has a good clean ground to bare metal/chassis. If you are unsure how to set the gain, turn it to about 6 on a scale of ten. Reread the install instructions for the amp for proper set-up of any crossovers and speaker output terminals.
