kenwood amp question

My amp has the following features: 
  • 150 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
  • 230 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
  • 460 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

    • my question is the 230w x 2 at 2 ohms, if i run my subs parallel, which brings a 2ohm load, the amp is stable at 2 ohms, how would i hook that up?

    The amp is stable at 2-ohms on each channel independently, or at 4-ohms when bridged.  If you connect two subs in parallel onto one channel (at 2-ohms) each sub will receive half the power from that one channel, or 115 watts, and the other channel will do nothing.  If you connect them at 4-ohms onto the amp in bridged mode, each sub will receive 230 watts as both channles will be functioning.

    I just read your other thread and you cannot connect your Kenwood subs together on this amp at 4-ohms, since they are 4-ohm SVC speakers.  Sorry.  See the other thread for the correct hookup.
