a colleague of mine is looking to purchase a new HU for his truck, he is looking to spend like $175, does anyone have any recommendations i can give this guy?

The best recomendation I can give is he should go to a car audio store and listen to different heads to find which unit in his price range sounds best to him, so he can play with them to decide what features he wants, etc.  HERE's another thread we just went through that has lots of suggestions.
