heres my setup on my 95 s-10 reg cab:
pioneer premier 760
mtx 8302 amp(425 watts)
1 infinity perfect 12
polk 4x6
it just doesn't seem to sound right. the highs are ear shattering, and the bass could be a little deeper. can anyone give me a few suggestions as to where to set
current settings in parentheses)
sub crossover(frequency and level)(50 hz, 0)
hpf(frequency)(125 hz)
low/mid/high(0/1/3)
should eq-ex and/or sfeq be on?(both off)
I have read the manual, and played with the settings, both to no avail.

Start with the high pass (HPF) set it to 50Hz.
On the sub crossover frequency set to 80 hz, and level 0.
On the TREBLE set to 0.
On the BASS set to .
Loundness set to HIGH.
On to the "low/mid/high" setting. Set the control level to 0/0/0 before you begin your adjustments.
Now play some music you like and are familiar with at a normal listening volume.
Shut the subwoofer off for now while you adjust the interior speaker. Start with the low/mid/high adjustment first. Adjust it up or down unit it sounds right to you. If you hear distortion coming out of the speaker adjusted down a notch.
Now, turn on the subwoofer. Start with the bass level at 0 and adjust it up a notch or two until it sounds right to you. If the subwoofer level is very loud at 0 you need to lower the gain on your amplfier. At level 0, the subwoofer should only be slightly heard and felt. This way when you move the volume of the subwoofer up and down it will allow you to compliment the rest of your music rather than overpowering the rest of your music.
