You will have to run speaker wire from your new HU to the amp.  The is located behind the passenger seat

use a PIE differential converter and plug it right in... no problem.....

Hmmm, my views on this are a little different. What has been recommended of course will work, but if I had a vehicle with 17 year old tires, I would most certainly have replaced them a number of times by now. I would look into replacing the tired old paper cone speakers if you have not as well, just something to consider that's all.

True, but you would still have to bypass the bose amp to push new speakers.

Well if your going to replace the spk's  I would just do it right and re-run to the spk. Its a big upgrade on the factory spk wire.

Let's let the original poster make the determination if he wants to swap the speakers out, while it may be in his best interest it was not something that he may have been considering at the time.

You can't hook up an aftermarket radio to the Bose amps without an adaptor as kgerry mentioned. The Bose amps are digital and require a pre-amp input. The speakers ar Bose and also can't be run directly off a different head unit. The speakers are usually 2 ohms or less and will fry the new radio's outputs.   The best route to go would be to replace all 4 speakers and the radio. You will be amazed how much cleaner and crisper the sound is. It would also be wise to run new speaker wire as the original wire is probably old and brittle by now.

I have a 91 corvette and want to put in my Kenwood Sirius sat radio and I agree that its best just to replace the whole thing; wiring, speakers and unit. My only ? is, where the ##%#$% is the antenna wire? The Bose head unit doesn't have one even going to it.

The antenna along with all the other wires are at the amp behind the passenger seat in the cargo compartment.
