I managed to have a hole starting in the foam surround of one of my subs, between the surround and the cone, I ordered another one just because it would have taken twice as long to get it re-coned; my question is, is there a "at home" remedy that I could do to that speaker to seal that hole and so I could keep it for a back up? Thanks alot!!

Get the Permatex Clear silicone. You can get it at any auto parts store. It will have better adhesion than the stuff that's for home windows and stuff.

REPAIR it the correct way by replacing the surround. That is, unless it's a cheap dispos-o-rama speaker. Then I guess it just doesn't matter, so use RTV or duct tape or whatever you want because you'll be replacing the speaker soon. ------------- Support the12volt.com
