I took out my sisters panasonic head unit. old model and decided to put a jvc kds-5050 the harness was different . so i cut off the wires, then strip it and connect the color with color to the new harness then i hooked it into the headunit. in my sisters car the power wire seems to be a black about 8 guage the end of that wire, it has the end of an rca wire. but yeah it fell lose and came off. how do i buy a new one to change it because then the head unit wont turn on and i think its because of that stupid thing. let me know i'll try to post pictures of what it looks like a.s.a.p thank you guys so much!!!

It sounds like the antennae wire to me. Check all of your connections again.

Definately sounds like you broke the antenna cable and possibly blew a fuse. If you connected the wires color to color with the old aftermarket harness, the wiring should be right. The red wire should have 12volts when the ignition/accessory is on. The yellow wire should be constant 12volts. If the fuse for either of these is blown, the radio won't turn on. The black wire is the ground, if that's not hooked up again the radio won't turn on. If all the wiring is good and the radio still won't turn on, you could possibly have a bad radio.
As for fixing the antenna cable you will most likely have to have a new piece soldered on, or order the antenna piece from a dealer depending on the car. Some cars the main antenna piece only runs from the radio and has a disconnect behind the glovebox or in the kick panel so replacing that piece wouldn't be a big deal assuming you can buy just that piece.

is the antenna cable neccassary to play music and power the cd player?
also if i blew a fuse where do i find it at replace it? i'll go over my wiring and make sure the wires are connected color to color i'll try to take a picture of it and post it and see if i did it right.

There may be a fuse holder in your yellow wire from the cd player, or check the fuse panel in the car for a fuse labeled "RDO" or "RADIO". If there is no labels that say this (Depends on the make of car) check the owners manual. On almost all stereos having the antannae unhooked should not affect it's ability to turn on and work as normal (other than radio reception.) ------------- You'd better get me out of this lord... or else you'll have me to deal with. -- Hunter S. Ok i'll get on it tonight and see maybe if that is the problem. also installing an ampilifier while i'm there i'll run the RCA wires and the Remote wire. The power i'll do that another day. Should the remote and rca wire run on the passenger side together? and the power wire on the driver side?

Run the remote and the power on the same side, and the RCA on the other. Doesn't really matter which goes on which side. Just try to make the shortest run possible for each (if you're battery is on the drivers side run the power wires down the drivers side.)

Hey theres to many wires sticking out of place and previous wires became loose . I"m realy confused and which wires which. Its a honda 95 civic ex anyone can help me with the wiring harness let me know please thanx!
