I've read a few threads where you can wire up the accessory circuit to be powered until you open a door. However, I'm interested in something a little more advanced.
Currently, I have a Viper 800 ESP alarm installed in a vehicle. The 800 ESP has this fuctionality already built into it, short of the final relay that powers the actual accessory wire. I am looking to upgrade the 800 ESP to the new Viper 791XV. The 791XV includes remote start, so factor that into the equation.
The vehicle uses a negative door trigger. I would like the circuit to be triggered only when the key is used. I would also like it to remain powered until a door is opened and then closed. Upon closing the door, the radio would shut off. Another option could/should/would be to have the circuit shut off if the car was armed.
I'm sure that a few relays would be involved to complete this circuit. The basic circuit that is in the relay section works fine for holding the circuit's power until a door is opened. It doesn't add support for the remote start, but "the12volt" wrote in a thread that you could add a 3rd relay to trigger based upon the key-sense wire, etc.
So in adding one step further, how would I accomplish this?
