2003 F-150 SuperCrew.  Looking at installing a new amp in the rear and running new speaker wire to the door speakers.  3 doors look relatively easy, however the front driver's side door looks like a major PITA.  The emergency brake braket is completely in the way and reqires removing several large sections of the dash and the GEM unit to get to it!!  Anyone have any tips to help route the wire through the door boot and into the cab w/o having to remove all this stuff?  I'd hate to have to run the new amp wires to behind the HU and use the factory wires.

Push the wire through the base of the door boot, where it enters the car, with a coat hanger, and grab it when you see it emerge under the dash.  Same with into the door.  Some boots are just too jam-packed and angled to get a wire through.  Wrap the exposed wire up with electrical tape, then tape it to the door boot.  You will have to cut a small notch in the boot base to pass the wire through and allow the boot to fit back into its hole.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
