I was wondering what the rules/laws are for how many farads you should install by your systems wattage?

There is no laws or rules that pertain to farads per watts. The more the better in my opinion.

The general rule of thumb is 1 Farad for every 1000 watts.  :)

That's basically what I was looking for...

Is there any documentation that says that?

Run the wires in series with the amplifier wires.

dude, you have a Rockford amp with two power and two ground inputs, this means that one of each inputs are used for the power and ground wires leaving two emty holes, one power and one ground. Hook the cap up to the extra holes on the amp, that is it you are done, finito, end of story, say goodnight, bye bye now, don't call me I'll call you, don't let the door hit you on the way out, all done. It is a very simple connection to your Rockford amp.
