sometimes when i get finished listening to my cds in my head unit and try to eject the cd it wont come out and i have to take the head unit out and tilt it up.  when i do this i hear a clicking noise and the cd starts to play again and then i can eject the cd.  what could be the problem?

The eject tray is out of alighment. Had this happen to a new Pioneer deck that we sold and we just sent it back to get repaired.

If you're using CD-R's it might also be that the mechanism is having trouble dealing with it because CD-R's are thicker than standard CDs.  What's the head?

Thos are all possibilities.  Check the motor. Mostly likely its weak. and out of line.

Pyle equipment is not very well built.  In fact, I'd call it "disposable."  That particular deck is not designed for CD-R's (even though it will play them) so it may simply be the mecahnism is hanging if you have run CD-Rs through it.   I suspect however that  it has simply failed and it is time to pull it and toss it.  It will cost your three times what it is worth to even get it looked at by a service center.  Replace it, and if you can I highly recomend you purchase a better quality head unit.

I would. But it depends on your financials. I would save up for something better. Try to avoid brands like Pyle, pyramid, boss, lanzar, legacy, xplosion, power acoustik, volfenhag, hugfen...i could go on all day. If you're looking for just a cd player then you may want to look into the lower model head units made by companies like pioneer, jvc, panasonic...even a dual might be better that what you have.
