I just recently bought and installed XM in my car.  in order to get rid of the wires that are currently hanging around the center console I was going to install an FM modulator.  My problem is I am not sure where exactly the 12V power terminal that they describe is.  here is a link to the installation instructions:  https://delphi.com/pdf/consumer/SKYFi_fm_mod_guide.pdf   The "12V power terminal" that they describe is the thing I can't find.  So if anyone knows what i need to do please let me know!  thanks

This just mean to find a 12v constant power and connect to this. The easiest place is to go right off of the radio harness.  I see that you are installing the Delphi Skyfi, I would recommend to connect this to a constant power and then you will just have to remember to shut the unit off.  If you connect the unit to switched power, you will lose your memory everytime you shut off your vehicle.  Hope this helps.

This is not true.  The Skifi is designed to be connected to the switched power.  It doesn't loose it's memory when turn the vehicle off.

Its supposed to plug in to the antenna adaptor and then to the head unit.  Not the radio harness.

Search for the wire colors on this website for your vehicle and splice the wire for the XM unit into the power source you choose, switched or constant.  It's best to solder.

Raydawg... are you sure that the switched power only keeps memory.  From what I remember there was the choice between keeping memory or it turning off with the car.  Its possible I am mistaken, but I am pretty sure that is the way it is.

Ray dawg is right  The Delphi unit keeps its own memory.  But use the ACC power (switched) to hook it up.  I dont know what kind of head unit you have but if it's stock, use a volt meter or test light to find out which one it is, or try to find out the wire color off this website.  But if its aftermarket, it will be the red wire, the yellow is a constant.
