If I have two amps using a 30amp fuse each in the trunk. I can run 8g Wire from the battery because its rated to 100 amps. Correct? approx 11 ft. or so.

8 gauge is OK at 60 amps, but not 100. Fuse the wire with a 60 amp fuse.
------------- Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

do not go by the fuses on the amps go by the watts your amps are rated fuse the line after the battery 80amps check wire guide then use a capacitor & dist block to wire the amps. looks clean and neat Recommended Cable Size by Power and Distance | Total RMS Power (watts) | Distance | 4 feet | 8 feet | 12 feet | 16 feet | 20 feet | 100 | 10 gauge | 10 gauge | 8 gauge | 8 gauge | 4 gauge | 200 | 10 gauge | 8 gauge | 8 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 400 | 8 gauge | 8 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 600 | 8 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 800 | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge | 1000 | 4 gauge | 4 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge | 1400 | 4 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge | 2 gauge |
