I've heard you can put the port just about anywhere. I want it to fire into the back dash of my car. Is thier going to be ANY problems in doing this?

In a ported enclosure, the port should be on the same bafle as the speaker and fire into the same airspace.  If you want to port the sound into the cabin but leave the speakers in the trunk, I suggest a bandpass enclosure.

the port for optimum proformance should be on the same baffle as the sub but we have gotten good results with the port in other locations when it is in a trunk, the one thing that reall effects proformance is sub box location and direction of the woofer, and this changes from car to car, but in general pointing towards the rear of the car and close to the rear of the car will sound best, but not always, you have to experiment
