Does anyone know how to remove the front doors? I'm helping a friend put in some a component set. Thanks in advance!

You want to remove the entire door?  Or just the door panels?  There's no real trick to the door panels, just be sure to remove the screws holding on the arm rest and there's one behind the plastic cover for the door handle.

Sorry I meant the door panel. posted_image Is that all you have to do, just remove those screws and it pops off?

Yea, and disconnect the electric window mechanism if it has one.  Hondas use standard plastic clips along the edge of the panel.  There may be a screw or two around the speaker cover depending on which model it is.

Its an EX I think. Do you mean the grill when you say speaker cover or what? door_panel_removal.gif Is this diagram accurate then, that I found also? It's a little confusing.

Yes.  Some of them just pop off and some have three or four screws.  The EX I think has screws.

Oh yea, I forgot about the hidden screw in the armrest pocket.  But that image looks pretty good to me.

BTW....when installing your new speakers you may need to ( I would guess that you definitely will ) cut out the back of the basket that your factory speakers are sitting in. You won't be able to install your new speakers unless you do this. I too have a 96 Honda Accord EX (4 dr) and if you have any questions regarding your install I think that I may be able to help you since I just completed a renovation of my system.
