I have an Eclipse CD8443 deck, and right now it powers my speakers thru the metra harness (speaker level outputs). I am going to be hooking up
external amps and speakers and wanted to know if there is a way to tell the eclipse to shut off its internal amp.

Why?  There is no need.  Just disconnect the speaker wires and insulate them from each other and the internal amp will not have any current draw on it.

That's why alpine is better posted_image  lol j/k     Yeep, just disconnect the speaker wires at the harness, and tape them off individually to avoid any shorts.
