i hear infinity have real good SQ. Just remember to wire everything at the largest number of omhs and get an amp that can still give it MRS at the higher ohm

My top SQ car audio sub right now is JBL GTi, although there are at least 20 others in the same class.  Still M&K for the home.  Just my opinion.  :)

"sq" as in "smoking quietly"?

Why dont we just go for brok and go right to the top of the "Pyramid". I hope that doesnt escape anyone. Anyways for SQ subs you could use the low line Focal Subs, they can be had for about 400 bucks or so. Boston makes some nice stuff to. Thats Just a couple of my favorites that I have had first hand experience with.

MB quart, Adire audio Bramha for loud SQ and the new Koda series, Focal- more on the $$ end, eclipse, diamond audio...  Basically...find what your ear likes...it might be sony or pyle....doubtful but hey.lol

Im only running 150 rms- what the box on the amp says...so its prolly like 120rms to each sub.  I have some old q series MB quart 12's.

the whole xlpod and pyramid thing was a joke. guess you didn't catch that. when reading responses from forbidden you have to watch out for his sense of humor.

Yeah forbidden got past another one. For reals though, the sub isn't anything without the correctly built box for the sub. As far as brands go, It has to be jensen for the best all around comination of sq/spl around.

The infinity line has some nice SQ subs, as well the the eclipse aluminum. As mentioned before, the Focal series are amazing....and amazingly expessive. However, the 5 sided SQ bliss has to be my 1st and only choice as wellposted_image

You'll have to let us know how they are mobile E.  I've always been curious about the xtant x series but there aren't any dealers that carry the sub in my area.  They look great in this install: https://www.hzemall.com/Accord_folder/tim_accord_cover.htm

I just got back from a flea market and saw a realy awesome new sub.  It's called Rockfile Fosgood and you can buy a whole case of them for $35.posted_image

And just think, you could get that case, hook all 12 speakers up to six Chicom German-Sounding amps, enter an SPL competition and hit 162.3db for 30 seconds before it all smokes.  As a winner in your class you can then come on forums like this and fill all the discussion threads with bragging about how great your gear is and how everyone who said it was junk is full of it.

Not that anyone would ever do such a thing, of course...
