If memory serves right all HE2 subs were rated at 200W RMS.
I'd go with the RF, mainly because the wired remote control. JBL's are a bit of overkill in this case(in my opinion).

Oh yeah, and having everything from the same brand adds to the "cool" factor ------------- forbidden wrote:

Well that sub is suppose to be 400 rms, and 800 max if I remember correctly. That PG amp might over power that sub, or cause it to distort. I would go with the RF amp just because it does 600 watts max, and that would be just right for that sub. I had two of those subs on a 500 RF amp, and it sounded real nice.

Yeah, I remember those subs being 400 watts RMS. Wait a minute, after re-reading, do you mean you have TWO dual 4 ohm subs? If so, you're first two amps will run at a 4 ohm load, because your two subs will only achieve either a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load, and they aren't 1 ohm stable. If that us the case, the JBL Powervalve is supposed to be 1 ohm stable, but pushes the same amount of power as if it were running 2 ohms. Also, if you do have two subs, we can suggest some other amps for you.

He does have TWO dual 4 ohms subs. He would like an amp that is less than about $280.
Try to find an amp that pushes around 400 watts RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms, or 800 watts RMS x 1 @ 1 ohm. One that popped into my head is the Rockford Fosgate 800.2(old model) or Punch 851s. Ultimate DT2-800 This one looks good, but I don't have experience with Ultimate, and it's above your stated price range. That's all I can dig up right now (I have finals to study for), but with the given info, you should be on your way. Everybody else, help this brother out. ------------- Jon Don't like rockford subs?
