I've recently installed a MRP F240   4 Channel V-power Amp, in my 1999

3/4 Ton GMC Truck. I getting some engine noise, i have sanded a spot on the frame and grounded with 4ga wire. I used the speaker inputs so i could keep my factory head unit, i also rewired all of the speakers with 14 ga speaker wire. The front factory speakers in the truck are 6 1/2" with tweeters and crossover. Rear are factory 4*6. Any suggestions?

Check the ground on the chassis, make sure it doesn't move. Make sure your RCA cables don't have and holes in them. Also check the gains on the amp, and make sure you don't have them set too high.

i have always had troubles with chevy trucks, the factory deck just seems to love to send engine noise out.   1 thing you can try, is disconnect your remote turn on wire at the amp, , and jump a wire directly from the positive to the rem on, on the amp.  Does it go away?
