I found a cheaper square voltage display they you plug into your cigarette lighter that I took apart and built into my car.  I found it at Autozone (auto parts store) for about $15.00 US.  It is backlit with a blue-green LCD which matches pretty good witht he dash of my Probe and the Eclipse CD player. It displays voltage from 0-24.0 volts.  Once  you take the casing off its all ready to mount the glass on top of the LCD stays in place and the wires you just run to wherever you want to monitor Voltage.  I mounted it  overhead in the "Map Light" compartment in my car which has an angled front that is perfect for viewing the Voltage.
