i have a 1995 transport van with am/fm/cassette stereo(delco) which came with the van, i bought a delco am/fm/cd player stero which is model number 09394342 and the date for manufacturing is 2001. i know it is alittle bigger than the one i have now because i have tried to install it three times but the power on button doesn't make it turn on but the tuning knob does? will this stereo work at all in the van before i try again? i bought new harnesses hopefully the right ones so no wires have been cut. does anyone know a detailed site for installing this type or can give me some kind of help? thanks

That radio is only designed to work in newer Pontiac vehicles. It is a Class II radio and is turned on via a data signal from the Body Control Module. It will never work in your 95 van. Take the radio back to where you bought it and get your money back. Then go and buy an aftermarket radio, mounting plate, wiring harness plug and an antenna lead adaptor.
