Hello,

can you run your power for your amplifier (or amplified bazooka tube) through your aftermarket radio harness?  I couldn't find a way to penetrate the firewall in my 2004 CRV, but i am able to run the power wire up into the radio bay..... i have it ready to go but not plugged in yet awaiting your approval.  I was going to tap it into the radio harness' 12v power supply.  Would this put too much heat or stress in this area?  why does it have to wire to the battery?

FYI - the specs:  150w bazooka RS8A tube (self-powered).  I have antenna lead going to tube, ground is on the bottom of the rear of the truck, power run to the back of head unit.

will this cause any problems?

thanks for your help!

oh yeah and there is an inline fuse (15A) on the power wire before it hits the head unit's cabling....

Your bazooka will not recieve enough power and will begin to clip.  You can go through your firewall through the main grommet.
