I just was attempting to put my deck in my car, First of all my car will not start now. I checked all the fuses and none are blown,What might this be,the alternator?and secondly the deck at first just kept turning on and off over and over again, why is this happening? And another thing is I drive an eclipse and I baught some 6x9's for it,but the speakers are inside this paneling stuff i took all the screws out but the panel still isnt coming off.My car is all torn apart so any help with any of this is greatly apreciated, Thank you

Here are the rear speaker removal instructions for a 2000 to 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Defnitely check the ground on your deck (try grounding directly to the metal of your vehicle). I'm not sure why your car won't start after installing your cd player. Did it not start right after you installed your cd player, or a day or two after?

Did you disconnect the battery before you started working? Once I didn't reattach the negative tightly enough. Just another good hard turn and it started just fine.

do your lights in the dash and everything power on when you turn the key to the 'on' position? i killed my battery when i left the key on too long. just needed a charger hooked up and it started fine.

ive found alot of times that if the deck flickers on and off most of the time it was a bad ground to the deck, you might wanna try running a new ground. if the batt is good and has enough power to start the car it would start the alt just wouldnt recharge the battery. I'd test the batt with a DMM if you got it, should read about 12v or so, then while metering it if it does show 12v have some one try and turn the car over and see if the voltage drop, if it does then you need to charge or try jump starting the battery.

double check the fuses, i like to sometimes my multimeter set to an audible continuity check, so when i touch my 2 leads from my dmm to the test points on the top of the fuse the dmm beeps. Also check under the hood if you havent already for fuses, if everything powers and it just doesnt crank it might be a blown ignition fuse.
