I recently bought an '02 Olds Alero GLS Coupe and want to replace the factory dbl din cd/tape player with an aftermarket. I have been told my stereo has something called RDS and I have to keep the factory head unit in the car somewhere. Basically if I want to replace the factory head unit, I have to keep it somewhere in the car. I have also heard the only thing I may lose is my door chimes. If anyone can steer me the right way, it would be much appreciated. I want to keep the car as functional as I can. Thanks

If you get the relocation harness you can relocate it and retain all of its operating features. Check out this harness from Best Kits the model number is BHA2004T
