I was just to about install a stereo in a 2004 GMC pickup and I couldn't find the switched ACC wire. I found the ground, 12 volt positive and all the other wires but no ACC wire. Can anyone tell what I might of missed.

The higher the years go the harder its starting to get to install stuff!!!

if your running new wires the orange wire in the ignition harness under the dash should be access.

the radios dont use a switched acc voltage on the new vehicles.... it utilizes a floating clock circuit

from what i was told, you can tag it into the windshield wiper fuse, but that's just ghetto. Tag it off the Accessory wire in the ignition harness..(It should be a 10-12 guage Orange whire leading from the ignition)
