Hi I want to hook three amps together but heres the deal. I have 2 sony amps that have crossovers and I want 1 each to run a sub, but i have a jensen amp that i want t run my other speakers can i do this. I think I know I am goin to want to run the sony subs at the low pass crossover and the jensen at high pass cross over?
ok assuming the jensen is a 4 channel amp and you are using it to run your 4 car speakers you would want it to be set on high because these speakers make your highs(symbols drums vocal etc). your sony amps you will want set to low as your subs produce your low sounds.(bass)

yup
ok but can i use the crossover on all three to connect them or do ihave to seperate the high pass from the low pass?
What kind of crossover is it?

OK, if you are sticking with that, then you will need to send both front and rear line-level (RCA) signals to the Jensen door stop, err, amp and activate the high pass crossovers. This will be to power your main speakers. Then you will need a sub-woofer line-level signal from your head to the Xploding amps and activate the low-pass crossovers for your subs. If your head has a sub-out, then use a Y-cable to send the signal to both amps. If it does not have a sub-out, then you will have to use a Y-cable from the rear output into yet another Y-cable to send a signal to both sub amps. This is not the best solution, but short of purchasing a real crossover, it will be the best you can do. Conenct things in this sequence:
Disconnect the car battery. Install amps and speakers. Connect all amplifier grounds. Wire your speakers to the amps and your RCAs to the amps. Connect the remote-on leads. Connect the amp power leads (with appropriate fuses.) Turn all gain controls to minimum. Re-connect the car battery. Set the amplifier gains to match the head unit output. Enjoy.

thanks alot! one other question. How would you do all of that if you also had three power caps? Right now they are all connected together by top mounting bars.
If you want to use caps, simply connect the positive side to the main power at your distribution block (which I assume you are using) and the ground to the car's chassis. Is your altrnator large enough for the three amp's current draw?

Probably not, it is just stock alternator for a cavalier. do you have any suggestions?
