Does anyone know if it is possible to add some extra speakers to a GM Bose RDS system without adding an extra amp?? Will it impair the sound of the others speakers in the truck if I splice off of them?

thanks

No, if you add extra speakers to the existing wiring the ohm load will drop and damage the factory amps.  What type of speakers are you trying to add.

You can't replace them with aftermarket speakers unless you replace the radio also.  The impedence is too low and it will damage the factory amp

the Chevy uses 2 ohm speakers in the door and 4 ohm speakers in the rear. don't worry about the factory amp, replace the stock speakers and upgrade to better quality ones. i would pull stock stuff out and replace with better aftermarket equipment anyday.
