I'm installing a headunit in my jetta, I just bought metra's new harness for the '02 models (70-9003) and it seems like it's missing some wires? It's got all the + and - speaker wires, a ground, a power ant., and a memory wire. Where are the power, illum., and dimmer wires? Do I not need them? Has anyone done an install on a 2002 jetta that could lend some advice or instructions? Wiring diagram or something, I'm pretty confused? Thanks!

the dimmer wire is the same as illumination and im sure there is a power wire there. As for the ilumination maybe the factory radio had no illumination lead so it would not be there. If this is the case then you will have to take the illumination lead from the new radio and run it to a parking light wire in your car. your memory wire is constant twelve volts it should be yellow and then the red is switched 12 volts i hope this helps.

Yes, that does help. But really...there is NO red wire in the harness.
