I've used the clarion center channel before It was a nice setup. Can't really go too wrong with either Clarion or Eclipse though.

For a center channel I was thinking of using a 3.5 or 4 inch speaker, and building a fiberglass pod for it at the bottom of my dash, in front of my shifter. I would use the clarion unit, but I have no more din space, and I would use the eclipse unit but I just don't think a speaker on the rear view mirror is very appealing. To power my center channel, I was thinking of using a 35 x 2 amplifier (maybe an old rockford one), and using only 1 channel, or since 3.5" and 4" speakers come in pairs, placing either both drivers up front or 1 in the front and 1 in the back as a center for rear passengers.

I think Alpine also made a powered center channel, but I'm not sure of it's availability. Pioneer makes one, but it isn't powered.
