I had a chance to play with a new X-12 yesturday, , the first in Canada aparently released.

First off, its really not a 12" sub, it mesures in at 13", you will need to widen the holes for your box.

It its the most beautiful sub i have ever seen, the cone is just sweet, and the basket is freeking heuge!!   i put a R-12 up against it, and the R-12 looked like a 10" type-E compared to the type-X.

We threw it into a 1.3 cube sealed box, ran it inverted cuz it looks so hot.  it was being pushed by a MRD-M1000.  After a short 30 min break in we started to do sum tests.

In the listening tests i was freeking amazed!!  it hit every note as tight as the tightest 10" sub iv ever heard, and every low as loud as a R-15.  It litterally was shakeing the frame of the structurally reinforced mazda B2200.  The guy that ownes the truck actually went out of his way to support the hell outa his truck to prevent this.  Turns out a box made of 1" MDF braced with metal bars was definately not enough as we started to see the face of the box  ripping right off the box itself, it was held in with a wopping 100 ,1.5" course thread drywall screws , , , , dunno why the sub didn't come loose first tho

After listening to this sub for a good hour, i determind that this is definately a JL W7 match , with a lot more ooompff in the SPL department.

I can't wait to get me 2 of these babys!!
