I have 3 Rockford Fosgate HX2 12" subs. They are dual 2 ohm voice coils, and run at 2000w max, 1000w rms each. When you run a mono amp to these, do they actually run at 4 ohms? I have three 2 ch. amps that puts out 1x1000w @4 ohms bridged. Not sure how i should wire these. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

a dual 2 ohm sub is capable of producing a 1 or a 4 ohm load. If you want to run these in a 4 ohm mono config, you must wire the two voice coils of each sub in a series circuit. This will add the resistance of each voice coil and produce a single 4 ohm load. You need to wire the subs as follows. Run a jumper wire from the negative lead of voice coil 1 to the positive lead of voice coil 2. This will leave the positive lead of voice coil 1 and the negative lead of voice coil 2 to be connected to you amplifier.
