I have a 97 Saab 900 to install a head unit in on monday, and I have never done one in a Saab before. So I thought I should ask if there is anything I should know like factory amplifiers that will have to be bypassed. Please let me know.

Have not run across one before dude, you know if I was on the mainland I would take a roadtrip down there just to see. Chances are that it will be a Bosch type removal system and the same for plugs in behind. Send an inquiry to Scosche and see what they have to say.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
Awesome, thanks. I actually called an installer friend of mine, and he told me it is most likely a re-wire. He says chances are it's an amplified system that will have to be bypassed. That just means the install will take longer. I just didn't want to run into something like Civics where the dome light circuit runs through the head unit.
BTW, it might be worth the trip. The girl I'm doing this install for is an EXTREMELY hot blonde, who just so happens to be a Mercedes mechanic.

How hot is EXTREMELY hot, a picture is worth a thousand words. It sounds more and more that it is a amplified system and maybe just maybe it will use the bosch plugs that work on most VW amplified systems. Good luck with it.
THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PIC'S - WE NEED VERIFICATION ON THE HOTNESS LEVEL!
