I am in the process of pulling the deck on one of this things and for some reason it seems that the dash piece will not come out without first removing the passenger's air bag.  I was wondering if any of you guys have done one of these and if I am right about the airbag thing.

Thanks in advance,

It's the new 2004 Chevy "hot rod" convertable mini sport truck.  Lots of them on the road all the sudden here in N. California, but I haven't see the insides of one yet.  If anyone can help with system removal, THESE guys and gals can.

no you dont remove the airbag... you remove the right hand side lower trim bezel by removing the HVAC knobs and gently prying the trim off, then same for the left side trim bezel which then allows you to remove the center radio trim bezel and out comes the radio..... it's a girl......

just did a search on my GM warranty service manual program and for some of those yes you do have to remove the airbag...( and the pasenger seat and about 50 other things, yuck... ) it depends on certain features in the vehicle which can be ascertained by running the VIN... if you can PM me the VIN i'll give the step by step for that specific unit.....
