hey i just bought 2 audiobahn 1208t subs and want to build a bandpass enclosure for them and was looking for some help on finding the measurments and such, and wondering if i should just not deal with the troubble and make a vented enclosure.

Are you postive you want a bandpass box? Personally I don't not like the sound they give off.. I think that Audiobahn's sound better in just a normal ported box... I guess that's really all i've heard them in though.. Just make sure bandpass is what you want..

It depends on what you want.  If you're looking for high peaky SPL in a fairly narrow frequency band, then bandpass is great.  If you're looking for not quite as much SPL but smoother overall responce, ported is better.  If you want the best overall sound quality, sealed is better.  One thing I can caution you about: unless you are an experienced enclosure builder don't try building a bandpass.  They are one fo the most difficult to get right.  If you have built enclosures in the past and simply want to try a bandpass, go for it, but be prepared to rebuiild and modify the enclosure to get it tuned properly, and be prepared to dump the box and start over if you don't like the sound.

ok thanks i think im gonna just go with a ported box, i dont think i want to put forth the effort for a bandpass and i think ill like the sound of a ported better, thanks for the help.
