Am I better off using Banana Plugs for speaker wire to the sub box? Or better off using speaker wire with the ends Solderd so they do not fray, and just tighten them down.

I solder and tape. Solder makes a better connection. And plus you don't have to worry about anything coming undone when the bass hits.

Solder!

The only dissadvantage is that if you want to change something, you have to cut the wire...

You're talking about speaker wires connecting to the box terminals?  Use the knurled screw-type terminals and finger tighten them down against the wire.  There shouldn't be any need for solder at that connection.  Like these.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
