I have recently installed my pair of kicker S15l7's in my truck with my pair of kx1200 amps. I know that factory decks will not push like an aftermarket can but i know my setup should be much louder. My line-output adaptor is a Stinger SHPLOC. First i wired this from my radio and did not recieve a signal, so i tried it from the factory subwoofer and the signal is not strong like it should be. A friend of mine had the same setup in his explorer and it was louder than my explorer when i had an aftermarket head-unit.     This same guy now has 1 15" L7, and is louder than my pair of them. What am i doing wrong?   even with all the controls maxed out even on the SHPLOC, it is not loud. Please help.

You should go to a proffesional car audio shop and have them set your gains to the exact same position on both of your amps. If it's not this way then the subs will cancel out each other like David said.

Third the phase issue and 1st the recommendation of a much better LOC that will give you better control of your system. Have a look at www.audiocontrol.com for some great additions to your system.
